Give ‘Orcs Must Die!’ a shot in this interactive trailer

For everyone who hasn’t gotten to try Orcs Must Die!, this trailer lets you give the game a shot. Sure, it’s not the same as going to PAX and playing it with a controller, but it’s as close to a demo as you’re going to get. Unless Robot Entertainment actually releases a demo. That’ll be a bit better. There are over 30 possible endings to this — which one will you get?

    First Hunger Games movie trailer

The first trailer for the Hunger Games movie was shown during the VMA awards this past Sunday:   I am sorry, did I miss the part where they indicated in any way what the movie is about? I mean, sure, Katniss looks pretty cool, in a generic, athletic sort of way, but anyone not familiar with the books could be forgiven for thinking this movie is about some kind of gymnastics or sporting demonstration, not a fight to the death to feed all of the people in the teenage competitors’ districts. “All they want is a good show”? That seems like a pretty innocuous way to describe a bloodsport to me. What do you think? Are you looking forward to this movie? If you haven’t read the books, does this trailer appeal to you at all?

‘Dead Island’ launch trailer hums a familiar tune

Listen to the music in this Dead Island trailer. Sound familiar? It’s the melancholy tune that served as the backdrop for that very first emotional trailer out months ago. Remember, as the sun sets on this particular marketing campaign, that there was once a time when we thought this game would have a lot more meaning. Then, watch this launch trailer. Then, remember that the game we know now is nothing like what we thought it would be. But at least it’s bloody. (Trailer contains mature language.)

‘The Haunted: Hells Reach’ gets you in its digital and tangible grasps

ValuSoft, now part of THQ, has announced that The Haunted: Hells Reach will be available for PC in stores this October, with downloadable versions on PSN and Xbox LIVE Arcade next year. The third-person survival horror shooter, which runs on Unreal Engine 3, has you fighting against evil forces that are attempting to take over Earth. You know, your basic video game plot (when it isn’t “find the princess”). You’ll use multiple weapons in your offensive, which spans multiple gameplay types (including multiplayer) and 30 stages. Here’s a trailer: The Haunted Hells Reach New Trailer from WinegumS on Vimeo. Reminds me a bit of Shadows of the Damned, but that’s not such a bad thing.

‘The Binding of Isaac” may have the creepiest trailer ever

Edmund McMillen (who you may know as part of Team Meat) has his own game coming out — The binding of Isaac. And it has a trailer now. A trailer by James Id that happens to be incredibly creepy. But at least we know that Isaac is some kind of top-down shooter now?

Here’s what you’ll see of ‘Final Fantasy XIII-2′ at PAX Prime

Final Fantasy XIII-2‘s getting trotted around quite a bit lately, but most of that is because of the number of conventions happening lately. Now Square Enix is at PAX, and they’ve brought a brand-new Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer with them. Take a look below. Oh, and remember, as Noel says here, “Humans aren’t strong. They die easy.” Well, yeah, maybe in the face of giant hands made of water, kid.

Ubisoft to publish ‘Shoot Many Robots’ in 2012

Ubisoft announced today that they’ll be publishing Demiurge Studios’ robot-killing run-n-gun title Shoot Many Robots for Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC in 2012. The game follows P(ickles) Walter Wingnut, who apparently lives in an RV, during his quest to kill as many robots as possible. That means the title is a very accurate one. Players can team up with three friends for the sidescrolling RPG run-n-gun action for two modes: Traversal (where you just progress through a level) and Survival, where you’ve got to survive the hordes of robots. “Ubisoft is excited to be working with Demiurge Studios on the release of Shoot Many Robots,” said Adam Novickas, director of marketing at Ubisoft. “Ubisoft is focused on providing players with a strong and diverse portfolio of digital titles, and Demiurge is set to bring another amazing game to the digital space with Shoot Many Robots.” This game will

Here’s who you’ll meet in ‘The Baconing’

The latest chapter in the DeathSpank saga (is it a saga now? What’s the technical number of games we’d have to have for a saga?) seems to be especially tasty. At least, that’s what you’d expect with a name like The Baconing. In this trailer, you’ll meet the full cast of main characters. Take a look…some of them are kind of creepy.
