Ubisoft to publish ‘Shoot Many Robots’ in 2012

Ubisoft announced today that they’ll be publishing Demiurge Studios’ robot-killing run-n-gun title Shoot Many Robots for Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC in 2012. The game follows P(ickles) Walter Wingnut, who apparently lives in an RV, during his quest to kill as many robots as possible. That means the title is a very accurate one. Players can team up with three friends for the sidescrolling RPG run-n-gun action for two modes: Traversal (where you just progress through a level) and Survival, where you’ve got to survive the hordes of robots. “Ubisoft is excited to be working with Demiurge Studios on the release of Shoot Many Robots,” said Adam Novickas, director of marketing at Ubisoft. “Ubisoft is focused on providing players with a strong and diverse portfolio of digital titles, and Demiurge is set to bring another amazing game to the digital space with Shoot Many Robots.” This game will

Back to basics with ‘Rayman Origins’

Apparently, Rayman was a member of STOMP! in his past life. Or current life. In either case, this very percussive trailer for Rayman Origins doesn’t show what playing the game is like (I think?), but it’s still pretty awesome nonetheless.

‘Child of Eden’ PS3 release date moved

We have Child of Eden for Xbox 360, with Kinect support. Now the PS3 version is on the way for release on September 27, a week later than originally planned. But it appears that the developers are making up for it by ensuring Move support and adding 3D capabilities. So everyone out there with one of those fancy-schmancy televisions with your special glasses can just…well, get totally absorbed in the game, I suppose. Game creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi even shows it off on-camera. Take a look:

‘Assassin’s Creed Revelations’ multiplayer beta arrives on PS3 September 3

Ubisoft announced today that they will be testing Assassin’s Creed Revelations‘ multiplayer modes in a beta on the PS3 starting September 3. Betas are really the thing to do lately! Or…at least they’re trendy. From then until September 11, PlayStation Plus members (and Uplay members) will get access to nine characters (The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster and The Champion), three maps (Knight’s Hospital, Antioch, Constantinople) and four playable modes (Wanted, Manhunt, Deathmatch, and Artifact Assault), all for testing purposes. The full game releases November 15, 2011.

Check out this lengthy ‘Far Cry 3′ walkthrough

Just in case you didn’t get to watch Ubisoft’s press conference earlier in the week, they’ve provided their demo for Far Cry 3 online. It’s sparsely narrated, and lets you really get into it. Well, assuming games like this are your thing. You play as a guy named Jason who soon has a reason to be very, very mad. And, given that this is an FPS, you’ve…you know. Got to kill everything. For justice! I don’t think I could ever get that mad. Hopefully you enjoy this…it’s over seven minutes long. Also, there’s quite a bit of language, so don’t watch this at work or around your kids. Everything’s better in slow-motion, especially this ‘Assassin’s Creed: Revelations’ trailer

Ubisoft officially revealed some Assassin’s Creed: Revelations gameplay this afternoon, but beforehand, they showed off a reveal trailer that was, to be honest, beautiful. (And since you’ll probably be wondering after watching, here’s the song.) Hopefully someone we have on the ground will get to test this title out and report back.

    I Kinected!

So I finally got a Kinect, and as promised here’s my update (Original Article “Should I Kinect with it or not?”): At first, I was apprehensive about the Kinect.  I had my fears, my confusions, and above all the only information I had came from commercials and what I saw at PAX Prime.  The Kinect offers an array of opportunities making you the controller.  After a massive marketing campaign many of you bought and enjoyed what the Kinect had to offer. After much deliberation and a sale at Costco, I finally broke down and bought one.  I was very excited to get home but first I had to stop at another store for Dance Central. I knew that any Kinect experience would not be complete without that game.  I hurried home to get everything set up.  It didn’t take a long time to connect and the setup wasn’t as painful

Ubisoft officially announces ‘Assassin’s Creed Revelations’

Ubisoft officially announced yesterday that Assassin’s Creed Revelations is currently in development for release this November on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC (hopefully all at the same time). This will be the fourth game in the series, and the third to feature assassin Ezio Auditore — this will apparently be the “culmination of his adventure.” The game will feature Ezio somewhat shadowing his mentor Altaïr and traveling to Constantinople, “where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.” Well, that doesn’t sound too good, does it? You’ll also be able to manipulate Desmond’s memories and the Animus to both reveal more of the past and learn about the future. The online multiplayer will also return with more modes and maps to test your mettle against other assassins. Game Informer’s latest issue, available May 13, will feature the new title. “Delivering the final chapter of the Ezio trilogy

Ubisoft releasing “We Dare” for those adults who want a sexy Wii party

Who needs Mario Party when you’ve got this, right? Well, at least that’s what I think Ubisoft wants people over the age of 18 to think. Take a look at their trailer for “sexy, quirky party game” We Dare. So, that’s spanking, kissing, pole-dancing avatars and stripping. Get past that to the “parental code” section of the video (which may only function properly on the actual YouTube site) and see…well, more of that. Sometimes in German. (The one where two guys try out the kissing game for about one second while the girls…I guess, play elsewhere…is semi-amusing.) Let’s get real. How many adults need a game like this to host the equivalent of a high schooler’s house party? Who on Earth is this for? Because really, if you need something to loosen people up, alcohol really does do the trick. I don’t think you need a video game to get
