Wii Sports Resort falls to UK Sport
Wii Sports Resort has fallen from the number one spot for game sales in the UK to a UK Sport. Ashes Cricket 2009 by Codemasters has grabbed the top spot. Ashes Cricket is a cricket series played between England and Australia. It’s a huge rivalry game which dates back to 1882. Wii Fit and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 drop a spot while Fight Night Round 4 holds it’s ground. Disney’s new 3D animated film, G-Force entered the countdown at the number 9 spot. While another movie title, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen takes a nose dive from 6 to 16. This week EA Games takes the leading publisher in the UK rights with 6 games in the top 20. Nothing new for EA entered the countdown, but the EA Sports titles seem to be holding strong.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 stays the same in third place but Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince drops two spots. EA’s Fight Night Round 4 moves up a spot to make it to the top 5. Capcom opens UK’s first ever dedicated Monster Hunter gaming centre.
Monster Hunter has long been dominating Japanese social gaming since it’s arrival on the PSP, outselling Pokemon and the Wii Fit to carve itself into a social gaming phenomenon. Players connect for mutual hunting in tube compartments, cafes and eateries; festivals have been held for it and even specific package holidays can now be booked, if a warrior ever wants to don on their virtual armour and get a taste of the monster wild. Now, with the opening of the Gathering Hall, this Friday the 4th of July, Capcom is offering a solid sample of this environment to the UK audience. Located at 121 Charing Cross Road, London, the Gathering Hall is hoping to provide people with the social gaming interaction that is so prevalent in Japan. It offers the chance for gamers to meet, enjoy committed tutorial nights, exclusive quest downloads as well as the opportunity for meet and

Nintendo offerings at E3
This years E3 saw Nintendo pull out some pretty impressive promises for what we will see gracing our consoles. Apart from the games that they and their 3rd party friends are bringing out, we saw the Wii Motion Plus unveiled and a new device called Wii Vitality Sensor. And the DSi also gave fans another reason to use Facebook! Nintendo have promised that the Wii Motion Plus will give you a more realistic physical sense while playing. It can also sense where and how you are holding your WiiMote, and complements many 3rd party releases. Sounds pretty cool to me! They also say that the Wii Vitality Sensor (pictured below) expands the appeal of video games. It takes note of your pulse rate and any other signals your body is giving out, and lets you know what’s going on inside. Mr Iwata introduces us to the Wii Vitality Sensor device

Pay $25 to play Wii Fit with a Japanese Maid girl
Ah the Japanese, always have a way of throwing a maid costume into the mix. For $25 you can spend an hour playing Wii Fit with Japanese Girls in French maid dresses. The game does include the balance board and probably some awkward movements for hula hooping. The owner says exercise is all about your playmates: Playing Wii Fit by yourself is lonely. But here, playing along with a maid makes exercising enjoyable. Maybe we’ll have to have Vainya go and have a Wii Fit session with a maid gal. I wonder what the top requested game to do on Wii Fit is within that hour? My vote is hula hoop. Any guesses? [source Gizmodo thanks jeff for the tip!]

Sometimes life gets in the way of gaming
I end the work day with good intentions. I want to get home, do Wii Fit, work on GamingAngels and then play some video games. I mean the whole reason I started this website was to talk about a hobby that I love right? But then life sometimes gets in the way. For some reason I have been falling asleep very early, 10pm. Which for me is really weird. Yesterday I get a call from Matt in the morning and his car had been broken into. Joy. He waited for the cops and did all that, but then he had to go in to work and I get a phone call late in the night that I might have to pick him up. There was no way I could play because i was distracted. Worried about if I was going to have to drive. It was just a bad day.

Wii fit day 5!
BMI 23.86 weight 139.8 Wii Fit Age 30 Center of Balance: Left 49.5 right 50.5% Holy cow I “worked out” for 5 days in a row. Almost to the point where I can call it a habit. We’ll have to see how I function when work comes back into the picture. In my opinion, Wii Fit is going to help me get into a regular habit of working out and then I’ll start adding the gym, running around the marina, and various other cardio activities. Another thing that helps me is that it’s getting warmer out. Do you find that the weather affects if you work out ? When it rains, I can’t seem to get motivated at all. Today I just did some of the activites and yoga. I had to keep it to a short 30 minutes. Now some other people are trying out Wii Fit for the

Wii Fit Day three ^_^
BMI 24.01 normal Center of Balance: 47% left 53% right 140.6 lbs Wii Fit Age 30 Time worked out: 25 mins I woke up this morning sore. My abs were still tight, and my thighs were sore. Looks like something is working! This is promising. I love seeing some progress. But I wondered if I would be able to work out since everything was sore. We were supposed to see Indiana Jones today, but because of traffic we arrived a minute late. Seriously one minute late! And they won’t let you sit once the trailers all start. We had lunch with a friend and swapped out our tickets for Monday afternoon. That bummed me out. I was really looking forward to seeing it today, Magic tournament tomorrow, and Monday to work on the site. I have to be flexible I guess. lol I had to cut my workout short not

Wii Fit: Day 2
30 minutes BMI: 23.67 Weight: 138.7 Wii Fit Age: 33 Center of Gravity: Left 49.2% 50.8 % For those that may be around my age, you might remember a dvd workout program called Get In Shape Girl. It had many different peripherals like hula hoops and weights that you filled with water. I remember it being fun and not feeling like a work out at all. But then as you get older, working out feels like work. Like it’s something you have to do. I start stressing about how to fit it in my schedule. It never fails that once I sit my butt on that couch, it will be hard to get back up. With Wii Fit and this blog, I have done something I haven’t done in a long time, work out two days in a row. Granted, it’s only for 30 minutes each, but it still counts
