All around the country, Nintendo is bringing the Wii out in force this summer. During each event you can get in on a day of friendly competitions, giveaways* and a huge assortment of games for the Wii.

The Events take each weekend from Noon to 4pm (Friday) and Noon to 8pm (Saturday and Sunday).

The Wii Games for this Summer are happening at shopping malls, all eight Six Flags parks around the country.  You’ll want to take a look at the full list of times and locations on the site so you can find out when Nintendo is coming to a mall or park near you.  And if you can’t get out to one of the events, or if they’re not coming nearby your place, check out the downloadable Home Kit (PDF).  The Home Kit has scorecards, game and competition lists and the scoring system.

Of course, it’s also nice that Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson will be there. (She’s the official Wii Games Ambassador for Summer 2010.)

Even if you don’t want to compete, there’ll be plenty of noncompetitive play available, from demos to Super Mario Galaxy 2.

If you’re not lucky enough to live in NYC, however, you’ve still got a shot! Visit the website linked above to get the full summer schedule, which includes Six Flags locations and shopping malls across the U.S. However, if you are, show up at Liberty State Park anytime from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 16 – it’s technically in Jersey City, New Jersey, but hey. That’s close enough.

Target sent over an early look at their sales for next week. Why? Because it’s all about games and gadgets which are two things we love here at GA.
