King of Fighters XIII has also been revealed as an EVO Championship Series 2012 game.

Overlord Add-on / Xbox Premium Theme / XBL Avatar Items
Coming out tomorrow, June 15, BioWare is releasing five new regions and two new achievements. The add-on will be available for 560 Microsoft Points on XBL and 560 BioWare Points for PC. Two days later, June 17, you’ll be able to download a premium theme based on Omega, as well as game-related items for your Xbox Live! Avatar.

The game currently retails for about $40 for the 360 and $30 for PC and is rated “M” for Mature. Head over to http://masseffect.bioware.com/ for more information on the title and the Cerberus Network.

No, we don’t have any more access codes, but we do have information that you can just download it on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox LIVE Marketplace starting today! (So, like I said, hooray!) The demo includes just one of the ten available maps on the retail disc, which will be available on May 11.

In the meantime, though, download the demo before May 5 to help contribute to the charity effort I linked above.

Rock Band also gets a little more international with two tracks from Grammy-nominated French alternative band Phoenix and one from our side of the pond with Philadelphia’s Silvertide. These three tracks will be combined for a Track Pack or available as singles (as usual):

These additions make me a little happier to have both at my disposal.

Battle Beat allows you to use your instrument peripherals for more than just Rock Band and Guitar Hero games. Using your guitar and drum accessories (feel free to use a normal controller if you wish), you will command your outer space armies to save the home planet.

The game’s creator touts this as a rhythm game, and after watching a video trailer for the game via the developer’s YouTube page, I am reminded of Patapon.

Next up is Kaotic Puzzle. Check out this video (and others in the playlist) and tell me if this does not scream Bejeweled with a hint of Meteos. Creating chain reactions by removing blocks from your screen will “attack” your opponent, sending waves of new blocks into his screen, hopefully causing an overload. This Indie Game will run you 240 MS points (or as always check out the free trial) from the Marketplace.

Evolution Dream Studio is hyping up two new titles (Pirate Mayhem and Avatar Quest) by giving away download tokens to three previous releases: Words in a Word, Planet Delta, and Bomb Disposal Expert. Their friends at Ninja Fever also want to get in on the action and are giving away codes for their game, Dual Zone. Combined across all four titles, there are 50 tokens to be won.

Borderlands fans are going to be happy to hear that the first downloadable content will be out today on Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network for 800 MS Points and $9.99, respectively.

Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned brings zombies into the Borderlands world. Players work alongside Dr. Ned to try and cure the zombies. Curing instead of shooting…interesting.

Codemasters has announced the Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising PC demo today. Gamers can find information on downloading the demo and how to play the first mission at www.flashpointgame.com in the “Public Affairs” section. The title is currently out on the 360, PS3 and the PC.

In additional support/celebration for the game, Codemasters will also be providing premium avatar items on Xbox Live Marketplace. The avatar items range from military themed clothing, t-shirts, baseball caps, camo suits, and Special Forces tactical clothing.
